Irfan Shafique, M.D. Medical Director for Dedicated Imaging Centers. Dr. Shafique is an entrepreneur, non-invasive radiologist, nuclear physician and nuclear cardiologist with a background in internal medicine. He has extensive experience in cardiac imaging and is board certified in radiology, nuclear medicine , nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT.

Dr. Shafique is one of the pioneers of the cardiac computed tomography program at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (“John Hopkins BMC”). Dr. Shafique has authored and presented many publications at major national and international meetings. He was the first radiologist presenting to the American Heart Association regarding the significance of non-cardiac findings in cardiac computed tomography angiography. He has extensive experience in collaborating with cardiologists and was the first one to form a collaborative program at John Hopkins BMC. He is also the Director of annual continuing medical education cardiac computed tomography symposium and co-directs the cardiac computed tomography fellowship teaching/training practicum at John Hopkins BMC.

Dr. Shafique received post graduate training and fellowship training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and the Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC, in the late 80's and 90's respectively. Dr. Shafique was a consultant at National Institute of Health and has been involved in PET imaging for the last two decades.
